* As their name indicates, manual winding watches draw their energy from daily manual winding and are not battery operated. Wearing a hand-wound watch means appreciating rituals. They form their very own relationship with the person wearing them, which simply cannot be replaced by the electronic distance of a quartz movement. Mechanical watches have their own rules and the sound of a perfectly functioning movement has its own harmony. In addition, by avoiding the use of batteries, you can protect the environment and, with appropriate maintenance, often rely on a mechanical watch for decades.
Disclaimer: Unless stated otherwise, all the mechanical watches I sell are working and keeping good time over a few hours. However, most of them are at least 50 years of age. Guarantees cannot be given regarding reliability, accuracy and/or waterproofing. Please keep in mind that mechanical watches never were as accurate or reliable as battery operated quartz watches. I recommend you shop from my Quartz section if you are looking for a hassle-free watch to wear every day, and from the Mechanical section if you are mostly looking for a collectible vintage item. Contact me for more detailed information about specific items or in case of doubt about size, functions, etc. I do not accept returns or refunds, even though I will do my best to accommodate customer needs and keep everyone satisfied.
